Agreed. The Chevron doctrine, just thrown out, is similar in that a gov’t agency can make its own interpretation of a law or regulation, then act as judge and jury in upholding it. Gov’ts are trying to eliminate the general public’s power so only the elites can decide what is what. That is a significant step that an authoritarian gov’t will take to consolidate power.
Also notice that with free speech (and tax policy), the current administration is going around the constitution by enlisting the EU to make policy that affects US companies.

Right after the law was passed, the most frequently reported incident of "hate speech" was comments made by the Scottish First Minister, Humza Yousaf, in which he bemoaned the predominance of white leadership in Scotland, a country which is around 95% white.
The notion of our collective infantilization -- that our "feewings" might be hurt by someone's choice of words or opinions-- struck me as a true and utter regression of our Western culture. Parents, teach your children well: love them tough, engender authentic resilience.
