“Someday we will stop talking about the lab leak theory and maybe even admit its racist roots. But alas, that day is not today.” Apoorva Mandavilli, "science" reporter for the New York Times.

NEVER FORGET that when it came to one of the biggest stories of the century, an event that was used as a pretext for all sorts of power grabs and attacks on civil liberties, our legacy media, led by The Paper of Record, not only refused to investigate its origins, but denounced anyone who even considered the possibility that the Official Narrative was wrong, as RACISTS. (In the 21st century, the Bigotry Accusation is the first refuge of scoundrels.)

If you wanna talk about Patient Zero, here is symbolic evidence that speaks in a million different ways: about the degradation of American discourse, the transformation of the MSM into brazen bullying propagandists, the contempt the elite class has for its citizens, and the attempted takeover of Western societies by an arrogant globalist caste that lies at will and wants complete control of our lives and thoughts.

They killed millions of people and lied about it, knowing that since they owned the media their PR lapdogs would help them cover it up. Never believe a single word of their lies ever again.

Pandemic the result of scientists playing God in a lab funded by US taxpayers, in coordination with EcoHealth and NAID? Racist!

Pandemic the result of unsanitary cultural and dietary customs of the Chinese? Not Racist!

it will never cease to shock me how tribalism can make you believe the most obvious stupidity and how social pressure can turn brains to mush....of course Covid came from dining on live pangolin, you bigot!

Take that tribalism and multiply it by a corrupted media working alongside a corrupted government, then top it off with a thick layer of Social Media echo chambering and you have the perfect alternate reality shitcake.

😂🤣😂. My then 6 year old loves pangolins (no idea why, he likes weird animals - has a pet created gecko and wants an axolotl because they are “so cute” 🤦‍♀️). He was so irate the news, which is rarely on tv in our house, was trying to blame a pangolin. He kept rambling on about their lung capacity and talking about how it made no sense to think a “cute pangolin” in a “mean” outdoor wet market could infect human mammals with a respiratory virus.

In fairness the child would watch NatGeo documentaries as an 18- month old toddler and hated Disney shows. I distinctly remember when he was 4 and we were on a road trip hearing something on some NatGeo documentary he was watching about “mature bull elephants” and elephant mating rituals and saying to my husband “I think we racked up another parent fail.” 😂 The only “cartoons” he would watch were Splash and Bubbles, Octonauts, Wild Krafts, and Dino Train. Though he was still 6 - if it strains reasonableness for a 6 year old it should for adults as well. If anyone has babies I would recommend all of those. They are pretty cute. In fact a song about parrot fish pooping out sandy beaches is stuck in my head as I type this.

So accurate. Astutely describes the inherent racism of those who claim others are guilty of it. Very well observed, DAmbrosio.

I was scrolling the legacy articles from late summer of 2020 and almost everyone that mentioned Covid also blamed tens of thousands of deaths on Trump himself. why? for not locking down the entire country? meanwhile the real culprit (NIH, EcoHealth, Fauci, Dazak, WIV etc) will get book deals and sacred candles with their likeness...

Within days of the CCP/WHO finally admitting that human-to-human transmission was indeed possible Trump took immediate action by shutting down all travel to China and was thoroughly savaged as a dirty racist and xenophobe for doing so.

Later, he would simultaneously be blamed for each and every (greatly exaggerated) COVID death and "not doing enough".

Just like how Biden and the hyena both trashed the MRNA jabs during the campaign, vowing to never inject themselves with anything developed under Trump. Three months later when they took power it became mandatory for the entire nation.

Hypocrisy much?

Yeah, just under 7 million and counting. History will be adding the tally up over the next decades. But hey, Pol Pot was only responsible for maybe 2 million deaths. So Xi, Fauci/Collins/Daszak and Shi are still in a very small club.

The people who pushed pandemic hysteria and useless authoritarian mitigation are mostly this bizarre combination of promoting fascism in policy and Marxism in rhetoric......... they are doing the same 💩 shit on energy policy while using the promotion of race hate and child genital mutilation as cover.

To me the most chilling line was, "If you knew that this was likely a lab-enhanced pathogen, there are so many things you could have done differently."

Image how many lives, livelihoods, and economies might have been spared. Then again, Trump might have been reelected so to the elites and the Swamp it was worth the price.

Examples, please. And, while I'm at it: are we blaming the US gov or Chinese gov or who exactly for the spread of the virus?

Actually it was probably the Chinese government trying to conceal the leak and the democrats trying to utilize a pandemic to alter an election. Just my opinion of course.

This is wonderfully put. The Left essentially owns all of the levers of discourse in media, higher education and government. Yet that is not enough for them; they must bully, cajole, disdain and shame any individual with the temerity to question their motives and veracity.

If a smoking gun doesn’t appear in the pages of the "respectable" press, does it still smoke? For the good and virtuous people who get their news from NYT, WaPo and NPR this story simply doesn’t exist and never never never never will. For half the country Fauci et al are glorious heroes who did their best to save America from this mysterious pandemic. And so they will remain.

I thrive on a steady diet of cynicism like a (pre Biden) car eats gasoline, but even for me the despicable cynicism of this whole thing is overwhelming and disgusting.

Clever, you make my blood boil! It puts me in mind of your coinage - “the homeostasis of hate.”

Why do our betters treat us like this? Our elite, the chattering class, they are so reliably dishonest, it’s almost a parody. Dishonesty followed by a complete collapse in the narrative and then memory holing: that’s the pattern.

This ambient political conditioning from whence does it come? Hate was your previous answer, a homeostasis of hate and oh my, such cynicism; I think your mother would chastise you, be more trusting my son.

Why all the lying? Is it because they are stupid? I doubt it. Do they know they’re lying? I think they do know.

I think it is the rewards, money and status, imagine being a New York Times reporter, how cool are you! So you whore yourself. You know you have to go along to get along. To get ahead, you have to give some head.

Prostitution is the oldest profession, yes, because of the biological urge, but more importantly, because she is our great great grandmother and our progenitor, we all need to whore ourselves to get along in this world. And the rewards of being a CNN employee, or better a reporter, now you’re mother would be proud!
